Becoming a Woman of Value

Hello Thriving Ladies,

Bolatito is a lovely friend and she has always had tons of guys crushing over her and practically showing that they value her. Edith is a more beautiful, talented and well behaved lady. She can be generally clasified as better than Bolatito, but she seems to always attract the unsacrifical guys. She has so much to offer but was not seen as same. I kept thinking, what could be wrong?  What is Bolatito doing that Edith is not doing.

Value is defined as the perceived worth, importance or usefulness of a thing. How do you become valuable, project yourself as same, be seen and treated as valuable.

We had a great time with Monica Nnoka, The MOre Coach at our April Hangout as she shared with us on how to become a woman of value. Get a glimpse below.

To become a woman of value, you need to do the following:

  1. Understand your Identity
  2. Work on self-care
  3. Work on personal development
  4. Work on your wellbeing
  5. Give yourself Self Respect. A woman of value treats herself with respect. Does not speak nastily to herself. Why should you speak to yourself in a way that if you said thesame thing to a friend, he/she will not desire to be your friend anymore? Self respect is talking to yourself in a valuable manner.
  6. Let go of things or relationships that do not help or build you.
  7. Understand what you carry, what God has deposited in you. Anything God sent you to do here, is tied to value.
  8. Complete you first; give love to yourself first.

Here are some personal tasks to help you on this journey of becoming valuable:

  1. Assuming your life is a car, describe your desired features and colour.
  2. Who is driving your car (your life)? If it’s not you, then you have to change the driver.
  3. Write down as many values and beliefs you desire that they drive your life.
  4. List the top five values of the list.
  5. Ask yourself what you can do to reinforce these top five values.
  6. Write a personal mission statement of who you want to be and how you want to live your life.
  7. List the roles that you play in people’s lives: e.g. daughter, sister, friend, employee, employer, mentor, mentee, manager, e.t.c.
  8. Put your magnificence into each of them. e.g. loving daughter, trustworthy friend, trailblazing employer, highflying employee e.t.c.
  9. Say it to yourself personally and in the mirror.

How do you Become a Woman of Value:

  1. Understand your uniqueness, YOU ARE THE VALUE.
  2. Do what makes you feel good; put yourself as a priority.
  3. Understand that you are here to make things happen. Only you can devalue you.

 Quotes:

Understand what you carry, what God has deposited in you. Anything God sent you to do here is tied to value (Monica Nnoka, The More Coach).

Understand that you are here to make things happen. Only you can devalue you – (Monica Nnoka, The More Coach.)
